An excellent way to strengthen the permanent retention is a flat, soft, braided wire. Splinting with the wire prevents torque control loss which can occur when using round, twisted wire. Wire attached to the inner side of the upper incisors can fit perfectly so that there are no tooth interferences. Soft wire prevents tooth movements caused by the active archwire forces. Bond-a-Braid is an excellent wire for bonding on the upper and lower incisors in mixed dentition patients cases. It can be used for closing a diastema or maintain the post-extraction. Perfect for making splints for patients with periodontal problems.
